Lia Costa has been working in the photovoltaic sector since 2020. With a degree in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP, she has solid experience in the sector and is currently a Product Analyst in the Research & Development (R&D) team at BYD Energy do Brasil. Her role focuses on developing the entire product life cycle of new photovoltaic technologies, with a focus on crystalline silicon. Lia has a track record of working at various stages in the development of photovoltaic systems, from project conception to in-depth research into the manufacture of modules and their raw materials. With access to one of the most complete and equipped laboratories in the Americas, she conducts reliability tests and leads production line tests at the Campinas factory, contributing significantly to the maturing of the photovoltaic and industrial sector in the country.

In addition to these areas, she has research experience with projects related to renewable energy cooperatives and energy transition in isolated systems in the Brazilian context. He currently works at SunR, a pioneering company in the recycling of photovoltaic modules in Brazil.
