With more than 39 GW of installed capacity, Brazilian solar energy has been consistently setting new growth records. In particular, the Northeast shines with six of its nine states ranking among the top ten in centralized generation and with 20% of the country’s distributed generation capacity — a figure with immense potential to increase. This is the promising scenario in which Fortaleza is getting ready to host Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste, the most significant solar energy event in the region.
Organised by Aranda Eventos & Congressos, in collaboration with Solar Promotion International from Germany, the Summit will feature discussions on strategies for the future of solar industry. The state of Ceará, with the 4th largest centralized generation output and 833.8 MW of installed capacity for distributed generation, emerges as one of the most promising Brazilian states. It has also shown remarkable potential to lead in green hydrogen production, with more than 30 Memorandums of Understanding already signed and several companies expecting to begin production as early as 2024.
Now in its 4th edition and a solid event in Fortaleza’s official event calendar, Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste will feature 100 exhibitors in 50 m² and attract an expected 30+ visitors. Solar and renewable energy stakeholders will be able to network, learn more about the latest trends and innovations in solar technology, and connect with market-leading potential clients and suppliers.
“As a fundamental factor for the energy transition, the solar industry is experiencing vibrant growth, bringing both opportunities and challenges to the entire value chain. What better way to explore the possibilities than an event such as Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste, which gathers the industry’s main players together with scholars and officials to debate the future and do business?” says Dr. Florian Wessendorf, Managing Director of Solar Promotion International.
Running along the exhibition, the Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste Conference will receive an expected audience of 500 delegates to hear more than 25 leading speakers and industry experts who will address crucial solar energy topics such as the evolution of distributed generation in the Northeast, breakthroughs in centralized generation, the prospects for the existing power system to have high levels of renewable energy input, green hydrogen in the Northeast, and advances in energy storage and electric mobility.
In addition to the Conference, Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste will also feature 2-hour-long workshops with specialised training for industry professionals.
Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste’s partners are the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (ABSOLAR), NewCharge and Sindienergia - CE.
