Porto Alegre/Sao Paulo/Pforzheim, June 27, 2024: The next Intersolar Summit Brasil Sul, scheduled for October 29–30, 2024, has been postponed to October 28–29, 2025.
The organizers Aranda Eventos & Congressos Ltda, with co-organizers Solar Promotion International GmbH, as well as Freiburg Management and Marketing International GmbH have had to make this decision due to the tragic impact caused by the recent extensive flooding in the region. An impact that, besides causing unbearably sad and painful losses, will make it impossible for us to hold our planned Intersolar Summit Brasil Sul at the FIERGS Events Center in Porto Alegre in 2024.
We are shocked and grieved by the dramatic situation in the State, which is still reeling over the material and emotional costs in the aftermath of the floods. In our case, the exhibition hall where the Summit was to be held was submerged in muddy waters for 45 days, causing substantial damage to the whole facility. Although there is yet no knowing when the site’s restoration work will be concluded, this will certainly not happen in a timely manner to make our event possible this year.
Another important issue that has led us to reschedule the Summit is the serious ongoing impairment of the city’s entire service infrastructure, including its public transport, hotel network, roads, and airport services for passengers and cargo. Despite the best efforts by the government as well as by the brave people of Rio Grande do Sul, there is no realistic prospect of the city returning to functional normality by the end of October.
At this time, therefore, we must preserve the safety and well-being of conference delegates, visitors and exhibitors, since the current situation offers no guarantee of the minimum prerequisites to hold a successful event in Porto Alegre.
We are committed to making the 2025 edition scheduled for October 28 – 29, an even greater success than it would have been without this tragedy, and are directing our efforts towards this goal.
We thank our visitors, exhibitors, conference delegates and partners, for their understanding and, once again, we offer our support and solidarity to the people of Rio Grande do Sul.

Intersolar Summit Brasil Sul – PV + Storage Solutions for Off-Grid and Agriculture, takes place at the Centro de Eventos FIERGS in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on October 28 - 29, 2025 and focuses on the areas of photovoltaics, PV production, solar thermal technologies as well as electrical energy storage and off-grid solutions.
