The Brazilian energy sector is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by the opening of the free energy market and the growing adoption of renewable energy technologies. Furthermore, new trends such as artificial intelligence, the decarbonization of various sectors of the economy and the electrification of various industrial and transport processes will further transform the global energy sector in the coming years. In this panel we will discuss the strategies that different stakeholders are developing to navigate these changes and take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves.

Raphael started his career at the Endesa Group and was the Legal and Regulatory Manager at CCEE (Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica - Electric Energy Commercialization Chamber) for almost a decade. He is a Member of the Energy Commission of OAB/SP and President of IBDE (Instituto Brasileiro do Direito de Energia - Brazilian Institute of Energy Law).

CEO and Founder of CELA, with 21 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, including bioenergy, wind energy, solar PV and green hydrogen. Camila currently also serves as Investment and Green Hydrogen Vice-President of the Board of Directors of ABSOLAR (the Brazilian Solar PV Association), Non-Executive Director of the Board of Administration of Brazilian Rare Earths, member of the Advisory Board of the Federation of Industry of São Paulo (COINFRA - FIESP) and is a Finance Expert at the Clean Energy Finance Solutions Center (NREL - USA). Prior to founding CELA, she was Country Manager and Head of Latin America at Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), where she advised clients with research and analysis of renewable energy sectors and markets, and trends in the region. She has also worked in the past at PricewaterhouseCoopers, ERB - Energias Renováveis do Brasil and Infinity Bio-Energy. Camila holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Fabiana Pasquot Polido has developed her career on large multinationals, starting in 2005 at IBM Customer Support in Finance Operations, followed by Neoenergia (former Elektro) one of the largest energy distributors in Brazil - where she had the opportunity to join the electricity sector as a trainee. In 2010 she joined EDP as a Power Trader in charge of the energy operations customization. In 2013, she worked for Cargill to manage all Power Business Units in addition to the Trading Desk. In 2016, she made part of Statkraft´s Trading team as the Head of Trading. In 2018, she accepted the challenge to join Serena Energia focusing on restructuring its power trading businesses and processes. Shortly, Serena became the top 10 companies in the energy trading business in the country. In 2022, she became the Chief Revenue Officer supporting numerous fronts strengthening the company´s client´s portfolio. She is the America´s commercial leader responsible for revenues and performance of teams & client-centered solutions regarding all structured deals. Consequently, the organization was able to obtain numerous carbon credits and certifications of origin. Fabiana became the advocate of a free energy market, breaking all types of barriers of the power industry. She has a Bachelor of Science in Social Communication/Public Relations at UNESP (Brazil), holds an master's in business administration with a major in Finance and minor in Risk Management at FIA/University of São Paulo, an Master of Science in Corporate Environmental Management from the University of Jyväskylä (Finland) and a specialization in New Theories and Methods on Nature-Society Interface at ISEC (India), plus ECPO (Emerging Chief Product Officer) - Standford

Solar Project Manager at Comerc Energia, responsible for the construction of the UFV Hélio Valgas Solar Complex, the 5th largest photovoltaic plant in Brazil and the 3rd largest in Minas Gerais. He has 29 years' experience in managing large-scale infrastructures in Brazil, Peru, Portugal and Africa. He teaches postgraduate courses at PUC and IETEC MG, specializing in Planning, Budget and Cost Engineering.

Marília Braga has been a researcher at the Fotovoltaica-UFSC research group for 10 years, where she works with Prof. Dr. Ricardo Rüther with data analysis and design of photovoltaic and energy storage systems for grid-connected and off-grid applications. Marília has experience in all stages of the development of photovoltaic systems, from sizing, simulation and design, to performance analysis, having participated in commissioning and fault detection activities of more than 300 MWp of utility-scale PV plants. Additionally, in the Fotovoltaica-UFSC group, Marília helps coordinate the team and participates in research projects in the areas of battery energy storage, electric vehicles, and the production of green hydrogen. Marília is also the former treasurer and current vice-president of ABENS, the Brazilian Solar Energy Society
